has several Suite options.
The Junior Suite provides

The fine appointments of this Presidential Suite located on the 5th

A formal living room is arranged around a fireplace. A dining room
table adjacent to a wet bar for easy service is available to accommodate
a party of 8. The master bedroom is furnished with two queen-size

to accommodate a party of eight. The extra large bathroom includes
an oversized walk-in shower and jacuzzi style bath. The suite can
accommodate a part of two with a king-size bed or a party of six with
the connecting bedroom. Two additional bedrooms, each with 2 queens
beds can connect.
What are the rooms views?
There are 2 room views available
at the BC. The Standard View generally faces either
the parking lot, roof, or wooded area. The Pool/Water View
will either face the quiet pool, inner courtyards, or Crescent
Lake, the Boardwalk, the Dolphin and Swan and
the Disney's Hollywood Studios . Some rooms have full walk-out balconies,
others do not. Some ground floor rooms have walk out patios.
What type of amenities
are offered?
The rooms have a small safe
in the closet to store valuables. It's big enough for your plane
tickets, cash/travelers checks and maybe some jewelry, but not much
more. For storing larger valuables inquire at the front desk. In addition,
you'll also find a small refrigerator, minibar, hairdryer, iron
and ironing board, valet parking, voice mail, 24 hour room service
and a morning paper at your door. If you're not interested in
the mini-bar, you can always refuse the key at check-in. Evening
turn-down service may also be requested at check-in. Turndown
service includes little chocolates pillow-side.
Are refrigerators available
in the rooms?
Yes, there is a complimentary
refrigerator in your room. If for some reason there is not, request
one.
Is check in/out any different
here?
As with the other resort hotels,
check-out is at 11am, check-in is at 3pm. The rooms are rarely ready
before 3. You may request *complimentary* late check-out (1 pm) if
needed.
What are the King Sico
Rooms?
There are a few rooms at the
BC called King Sico Rooms . These rooms have a king
size bed that could potentially fold up into the wall (via housekeeping
service). There is a small area with a love seat and coffee table;
a sink and counter top; and a table and two small chairs. The one
I stayed in (8/97) on the 1st floor had a double sink in the same
room as the toilet and shower. The room itself is smaller than the
regular rooms, but very comfortable for 2 adults. One of the advantages
is the slightly lower nightly room rate.
How do I Get to Epcot?
One of the best reasons for
staying at the Beach Club is that you are just a short walk
from Epcot! You can exit the lobby (pool side) and head left.
Or, if you're staying at the far end of the hotel (near the quiet
pool), go out through the Quiet Pool area and head left. You're
about 5-10 minutes along the river stream to the International
Gateway. As you approach the turnstyles, you'll see the tram area
which was used after the hotel opened to transport guests to the BC/YC
and the S/D until the Boardwalk construction began.
When you enter the gates, you are in the World Showcase, France
is over to your right and the UK is in front to the left.
There is also a boat that provides
service for the Boardwalk and the BC/YC and Swan and Dolphin ...however
this loop could take up to 20 minutes and the walk is much quicker.
Epcot boats are on the left side of the dock when facing the water
(you don't need to remember that - there are signs.)
If Epcot's World Showcase
doesn't open as early as Future World does and I can only enter Epcot
through World Showcase, how do I get to Future World?
The turnstiles at the International
Gateway are open for Epcot resort guests. Once inside the
park gates, turn left to walk to Future World. There is a CM
there to guide you if you have questions.
How do I get Everywhere
Else?
Magic Kingdom - Exiting
the front lobby (parking lot side), turn left to go to the Bus
Depot. You can take a bus directly to the Magic Kingdom from
here. Bus sometimes stops at the Yacht Club and Boardwalk Resorts.
Animal Kingdom - There
is bus service from BC to AK. The AK bus sometimes stops at the Swan
and Dolphin, in addition to YC, BC, and BW.
Pleasure Island/Downtown
Disney and for the Water Parks - Go to the Bus Depot
for transportation. Busses will say Downtown Disney and also stop
at Pleasure Island. The same bus that goes to Downtown Disney may
very well take you to Typhoon Lagoon. Some trips were non stop and
some went via PI/DD. There is a separate bus for Blizzard Beach. Buses
also travel to the Yacht Club and Boardwalk.
Disney's Hollywood Studios -
On the Waterside of the YC/BC is the transportation boat dock.
Here you can board the boat that will take you to Disney's Hollywood Studios
as well as Epcot. Note that this boat makes additional
stops for guests at the Boardwalk resort and Swan and Dolphin.
You can also walk to the Disney's Hollywood Studios via the walkway behind
the Boardwalk Villas.
Note that the hotel bus service
route sometimes includes stops at the Boardwalk and Yacht Club
and then Beach Club. Some Bus runs include stops at the
Swan and Dolphin, others do not. The water routes include one stop
for the Yacht and Beach Club Marina, the Boardwalk,
and the Swan and Dolphin.
If you are already in Epcot,
you can go to the monorail by exiting through Future World and
take the monorail to TTC. From there you can go to the Magic
Kingdom or any of the hotels. If you are coming from the Magic
Kingdom, you can take the monorail to Epcot , walk through
Future World into World Showcase (on the right or Canada
side) and proceed to the BC/YC.
Where can I get morning
coffee?
Coffee makers are
available in all rooms, with packets of coffee, both decaf and regular.
You will be able to make about 3 mugs from the pot.
You can also go to Beaches
and Cream OR the Beach Club
Marketplace for early morning coffee and limited breakfast
items (as early as 6:30.am.).
If you're not satisfied with
the pastries at the Beach Club, take a walk over to the Boardwalk
Bakery.
Need coffee earlier? Call Room
Service.
What are the restaurants
like?
The BC resort area has
quite a variety of restaurants to fit your dining needs
Beaches
and Cream is a '50s type hotshop serving burgers, hot dogs,
soups, grilled cheese, and of course ice cream. It is small and noisy
but fun. There are a few small tables and chairs outside Beaches
and Cream you can also sit at.
Beach
Club Marketplace - Opened April 2005 and offers some made-to-order
sandwiches, as well as prepackaged sandwiches and salads, desserts
and drinks.
The Cape
May Cafe hosts a daily character breakfast buffet (7:30 -
11:00) featuring Beachy Goofy and his friends. This has to be one
of the largest amounts of breakfast foods I've ever seen. In the evening,
the Cafe hosts a Clam Bake buffet. Folks seem to love the Seafood
Buffet!
There are also 2 lounges, the
Rip Tide and Martha's Vineyard. Martha's is open
evenings only -- it's a full bar, but also offers "flights"
of wine.
Hurricane
Hanna's is a poolside full-service bar which also serves
food (burgers, hotdogs, etc,). Hurricane Hanna's participates
in the resort's refillable mug program.
Hurricane Hanna's is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. during the summer; 11 a.m.-
5 p.m. during the winter.
Less than a two-minute walk
away is the Yachtsman
Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. The Captain's Grille
(was known as Yacht Club Galley) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Yacht Club also has the Ale and Compass Lounge where
you can get alcoholic beverages during the day. Within walking distance
are the Dolphin/Swan, Boardwalk and all the Epcot restaurants.
Is Stormalong Bay as
great as everyone says?
It sure is! Where else can
you bask in the warm sun in such beautiful surroundings and still
have SAND in the bottom of the pool.
There are actually several
sections to the pool; the BC and YC sections are separate
and different so be sure to try both. There is a deep circular area
with jets that push you like a river current around the pool. There
is also the larger area where the the water slide empties out (The
water slide is not to be missed! but sometimes the line gets long)
In addition, the *sinking sand* area delights both kids and adults.
There are several 'hot tubs' located in secluded locations around
Stormalong Bay . A separate wading pool area (yes with sand)
is located near the ShipWreck water slide entrance for small children
and includes a kids water slide. StormAlong Bay is over 3 acres large.
During 1997, a white fence
was built to surround the StormAlong Bay complex. This was
done due to the large amount of non-resort guests that were using
the pool. Access to the Pool area is now extremely limited; one entrance
is just outside Martha's Vineyard; one entrance at the Yacht
Club; and one entrance near Hurricane Hanna's. To visit
Hurricane Hanna's you must carry your resort ID with you in
order to return to the pool area. Each person in the party does not
need their ID to enter (if you all enter together) but keep in mind
you need the ID if you exit and re-enter the Pool area! You do get
stamped upon entering.
There is a beach shack which
rents tubes and noodles, suntan lotion, film and you can get your
towels here (towels are free, the other items are not).
For those who arrive at the
BC before checking time and would like to use the pool, there is a
restroom next to Beaches and Creams where you can change into bathing
suits. You just have to make sure that you have already been given
your your Resort ID at the front desk.
While the quiet pool is open
24 hours/day, StormAlong Bay has seasonal hours. During my
12/96 trip, the hours were limited to 10am to 6pm; in 8/97 the hours
were 9am to 10pm.
Is there a leisure pool?
Yes, on the side of the BC
that is closer to Epcot is a courtyard with a Quiet
Pool. The quiet pool has it's own supply of towels. There is no
lifeguard at the Quiet Pool. The YC has a similar quiet
pool. I stayed in a room facing the quiet pool (10/97) and was initially
concerned with the noise level; however, it was pleasantly quiet.
What types of recreational
options do I have?
Be sure
to request the Recreational Activities flyer. There may be
activities like Water Volleyball, Campfire Sing-along, or Movie Under
the Stars.
Tennis Courts - two
lit, hard surface courts are available complimentary to BC/YC guests.
The courts are on the Beach Club side and are open from 7am
to 10pm daily. Complimentary equipment rental for BC/YC guests
are available at the StormAlong Bay Towel Window.
Ship Shape Health Club -
is located between the Beach and Yacht Club resorts next to
Lafferty Place Arcade and open from 6am to 9pm. Equipment includes
Nautilus, Hammer Strength and aerobic machines as well as a spa, steam
room, sauna and massage therapy. Massages by appointment only.
Beach
Club resort guests (age 14 and older) can use the fitness center at
no additional charge for the duration of their stay. A
parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 17. In addition,
Disney Vacation Club members will be allowed to use the fitness center
at any Disney Vacation Club resort, as long as they are staying at
a Walt Disney World resort. Guests
of other Disney resorts may do so for $12 per day, based on availability.
The purchase of a spa treatment includes use of the adjacent fitness
center for the day of treatment.
Jogging - Jogging route
maps are available from Guest Services or the Ship Shape
Health Club.
Volleyball - a sand
court is located on the Beach Club side of the complex. Equipment
use is complimentary for BC/YC guests and may be obtained at
the StormAlong Bay Towel Window.
Lafferty Place Arcade -
is located next to the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.
Bayside
Marina - located in a small building to the right of the pier
(facing the lake) services guests from both the Yacht Club and Beach
Club daily from 11am to 5pm. To reserve cruises or fishing excursion
call 1-407-WDW-PLAY.
For up-to-date
prices on cruises and other water activities, visit our Illuminations
Cruise page or our Boardwalk
Area Entertainment page.
What is the gift shop
like?
The Atlantic Wear and Wardrobe
Emporium was redesigned in 2005 and is now called the Beach
Club Marketplace. Here you will find BC logo-merchandise,
swimwear and resort wear), books, sundries, suncare, candy, some snacks
and same day film processing as well as a Gelato Bar and some prepackaged
fresh food to go. The Yacht Club also has the Fittings and
Fairings Clothes and Notions store located off its main lobby.
If you still can't find what you are looking for; check the Swan
and Dolphin and Boardwalk stores.
Can I watch IllumiNations
or Fireworks from the BC?
You can sit on the Beach and
see the high Fireworks from IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
With the addition of the bridge to the Boardwalk, there is
another good viewing area for the IllumiNations Reflections of
Earth Fireworks. You can also see the fireworks from the Disney's Hollywood
Studios. Walk over the to Boardwalk and stand near the
BWalk Fries vendor cart and you can see the fireworks from MK too!
Another option is to rent a
Pontoon Boat for
an IllumiNations Cruise.
This does cost $$$.
What type of child care
options are available?
There are several child care
options available. For up-to-date pricing and information visit our
ChildCare FAQ.
My child will be celebrating
a birthday while at the BC. Is there anything special that can be done?
Complete birthday party facilities,
including cake, balloons and entertainment are available through the
Sandcastle Club. You can even schedule a special Birthday Pontoon
boat for IllumiNations (big bucks however). Call the Sandcastle Club
or ask at Guest Services for details.
Is there someplace to
get a haircut?
Yes, Periwig's is located
next to Ship Shape Health Club between the Yacht and Beach
Clubs. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9-6 and Sundays
from 10-6.
What other things might
I want to know?
The BC is very large
and winding inside. When you first get there, if your room is at one
of the far ends... you'll feel like you're walking forever... It's
a good idea to familiarize yourself with how to get around the hotel
early in your stay. There is a single elevator near the quiet pool
side of the resort; access may be easier for you to use that elevator
than walking to the main bank located near the lobby.
Laundry facilities are
available on the first floor by the quiet pool.
There is a USA Today paper
machine at the Quiet Pool.
Ice machines are behind
the main elevators on each floor and by the single elevator on the
1st and 4th floors. Soda machines are located near the quiet
pool.
There is an ATM machine
in the lobby.
The Pressed Quarter and
Penny Machines are located on the walkway outside of Beaches
and Cream and just outside the entrance to the Cape May Cafe.
While you can relax on the
beach of Crescent Lake, you are not allowed to swim in it.
I have heard conflicting reasons why, but on my last trip was told
because it is a main waterway for vessels swimming is prohibited.
On the water side of the BC
on the public walkway, you will find a portable espresso and frozen
drink bar as well as tattoos and hair braiding booths.
The Bayside
Marina near the Yacht Club offers a special Albatross Treasure
Cruise for children ages 4-10. Click HERE
for more details.
One of the nice features about
the BC is that you can get to all the restaurants from inside
the hotel or under a nice covered walkway...so if the weather is bad
you don't get wet on your way to dine. The restaurants also seem to
be flexible for resort guests' last minute dining needs.
Ask about the Scavenger
Hunt (Disney Trivia) at Guest Services.
If you can fit it into your
schedule, do take the monorail Epcot - TTC loop so that you
can see the sites...(especially at night, the lights are really pretty.)
The resort may offer storytellers
on Tuesdays. Ask at Lobby Concierge when you check in.
Pay Phones are located:
Off the main lobby near the restrooms, at the Quiet Pool, Between
Cape May Cafe and Martha's Vineyard.
How do I get to the Beach
Club?
Take I-4 to Exit 67. Follow
signs to Epcot Resorts/Disney's Hollywood Studios. Turn right at the 5th traffic
signal (Epcot Resorts Blvd) and Disney's Beach Club will be about
1 mile on the right. Due to construction at the WDW resort, directions
may change. Be sure to follow road signs.
For directions on getting to
the Beach Club from the Orlando airports, visit our
Driving Directions page.
The Beach Club is located
at 1800 Epcot Resorts Blvd. Lake Buena Vista, FLA 32830. Main number
is 407-934-8000 and the Fax number is 407-934-3850.
