7 Walt Disney World Restaurants the Experts Choose (And WHY!)

Choosing where to eat in a place like Disney World can be overwhelming.

EPCOT

There are so many options, each with unique theming, cuisine, and a few of the restaurants are home to iconic menu items that are famously known throughout Disney fanatics. If you’re unsure of where to go, leave it to the experts.

Lucky for you, the team here at AE has eaten at EVERY. SINGLE. RESTAURANT. on Disney World property. In fact, we just ate at Disney World’s newest restaurant, and you can watch that video right here.

We know what’s good. We know what’s not. We know what’s so amazing that it’s worth returning for again and again. So, without further ado, here are the 7 Disney World restaurants we choose every time.

1. Homecomin’ For American Comfort Food

Homecomin’ is located in Disney Springs and serves up all sorts of American comfort food, from fried chicken (served with delicious powdered donuts) to specialty sandwiches.

Delish

Oh, and there are also some pretty great cocktails here, too! What we love about the restaurant other than the food is that you can typically walk up and join the wait list and get a table relatively quickly. There’s also something on the menu for every type of palette.

2. Jiko for Steak

Located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jiko has what many of our team members refer to as the best filet mignon on property. There are lots of options for both picky eaters and complex palettes, which is great.

Our team also loves the mac ‘n’ cheese!

3. Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzaria for Pizza

Via Napoli is nestled in the Italy Pavilion of EPCOT and is home to GIGANTIC pizzas, all cooked in proper Italian pizza ovens.

The ovens!

We also love the theming of this restaurant, as the ovens pay tribute to Italy’s volcanoes!

4. Topolino’s Terrace for Classic Italian

Topolino’s is home to various Italian-inspired dishes that you can enjoy for breakfast and dinner. It’s also home to my personal favorite filet mignon on property, although the rest of the team’s hearts remain with Jiko!

What we love about Topolino’s is the stunning view you get of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as the fireworks at the end of the night.

5. Satu’li Canteen for Asian Fusion

This quick-service spot is located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — in Pandora. Believe us when we say that this food does NOT taste like your typical theme park food. (Then again, neither does anything else in Animal Kingdom. 🤫 )

YUMMMYYYYY

Here, you can grab a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, from noodles to rice bowls topped with vinaigrette Boba. Oh, and of course, there are those famously good cheeseburger pods.

6. Wine Bar George for… Well, What does it sound like?

Located in Disney Springs, this is our favorite spot to go for a chill evening sipping on various wines and cocktails. The Cast Members here aren’t at all snobby, and are insanely knowledgeable and professional sommeliers.

There are also various upscale bar foods that you can choose from, but we love the mac ‘n’ cheese bites!

7. Frontera Cocina for Mexican Food

Also located in Disney Springs is Frontera Cocina, home to an impressive menu of Mexican-inspired dishes. What we love about this place is that it’s super easy (most of the time) to walk up and grab a table. There’s also a window where you can grab your food and take it with you if you don’t want to sit!

A menu highlight here is the seasonal guacamole. In the summer, you can get guacamole topped with mango — and it is to die for!

We’re hungry just THINKING about all these great food options. Dinner plans, anyone? Well, we’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news and updates as we have it, so make sure to follow along for more!

  1. Homecoming and Guy Fieris chicken fingers are a must every time we come down to Florida from New York. Art Smiths’ fried chicken, biscuits (mmmmm those biscuits), chicken fried steak, their amazing moonshine drinks are consistently perfect time after time. Plus, the entire staff is super friendly, accommodating, patient and really make you feel at home. Relaxed yet professional and proficient. Like a hug. From a socially acceptable distance. Guy Fieri makes chicken fingers that are moist and flavorful. Their hand spun milkshakes are 100% delicious. Fries are great. It’s all so tasty and inexpensive. Problem here is deciding on which dipping sauce to select; I think there are fifty! Disney Springs is always a party!

  2. For once I agree with almost all of your choices. The only one I don’t think is all that great is Frontera Cocina but it could have been an off day or two for them. All other mentions are spot on.
