Did You Know About This Random Hotel Parking RULE at Disney World?

Taking your own car to Disney World is both a blessing and a curse.

Walt Disney World

It’s a blessing because you have a bit more control of your own schedule, can get from Point A to Point B a bit faster in many situations, and you have the luxury of a quieter car ride. However, there are a few downsides, the biggest of which being that those parking lots get CROWDED and many resorts have gotten stricter on who can utilize the hotel parking lots and when. Guards have recently cracked down on not allowing folks to park at the hotels unless they have table service dining reservations. Sometimes, guards will even give visitors a parking pass with a TIME LIMIT listed — but we’d only ever seen them posted online and had never been given one. Until now!

On April 10th, 1900 Park Fare reopened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before we entered the Grand Floridian, we had to stop by the guard shack to grab a parking pass for our dining reservation!

On the pass, it had the date of our visit as well as a 3-hour limit to utilize the parking space.

Until now, these parking passes had been more of an urban legend than anything. Now, we realize that they’re likely utilized on BIG days — like when a restaurant is reopening for the first time in YEARS.

Mirabel!

You can avoid a parking limit by parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and taking the Resort Monorail to the Grand Floridian Instead.
