Disney World ENDED a Popular Hotel Activity, But We Could Get Something Even BETTER Soon!

This classic Disney perk is gone… for the moment.

1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare just reopened at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the first time since the pandemic. The restaurant has a refreshed menu, decor, and character experiences. However, there’s one thing from the old 1900 Park Fare that we’re missing.

1900 Park Fare previously hosted an afternoon Princess Tea. The Grand Floridian also offered morning and afternoon teas in its Garden View Tea Room. But none of these offerings have returned to the Grand Floridian — even after 1900 Park Fare re-opened. However, we’re happy to report that two new tea offerings are coming to Disney World!

First, the upcoming Cake Bake Shop at The BoardWalk Resort will offer an afternoon tea menu when it opens.

The menu will feature scones, finger sandwiches, and patisseries, as well as several blends of tea.

We are still waiting for an opening date for Cake Bake Shop — it was supposed to open in late 2023 but that date was moved to 2024. We continue to see lots of progress on the construction, and we know that the business has been hiring.

Furthermore, the Four Seasons Orlando — which is located on Walt Disney World property — also offers afternoon tea events throughout the year. Their Springtime Afternoon Tea event will take place on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April 26th through May 26th. The event, which offers an “exquisite selection of savory pastries, traditional tea sandwiches, delectable sweets, and fragrant spring teas” as well as live entertainment and a flower bouquet station, costs $75 for adults and $36 for children 2-12.

  1. Looks & sounds lovely but for those prices per person you could get afternoon tea for 3-4 people here in the UK.

  2. In addition to the two venues described in this article, there is a third option for Afternoon Tea at Disney World. The Waldorf Astoria began serving Afternoon Tea for the 2023 Christmas season. They now offer tea in the Bull & Bear restaurant on Saturdays.
