This was our third time eating Breakfast at the castle and our worst experience. I booked this because it was my daughter's #1 requested experience. Last time 2013 the food was amazing...Lobster crepes! These are no longer available and the remaining options only average at best. The characters were rushed and not at all impressive this time. For the money spent, the food and characters should be amazing! I don't think we will be returning.

Pros:

None, very disappointed

Cons:

characters, rushed, food

We finally ate in the Castle! I had been looking forward to this breakfast probably more than my kids, we went for Mother's Day. The Castle is beautiful.. When you first enter, you join a line to meet and do photos with Cinderella. Photos are also no longer included in the price. This initial photo with Cinderella is scanned to the Disney PhotoPass that can be purchased at a later time. Then you ascend the beautiful spiral staircase to the very small dining room. The waiter we had was not very enthusiastic. The kids were handed their gifts (wishing stars for both, a wand for my daughter and a sword for my son). No beverages were offered except orange juice and coffee. We did ask for milk for the kids and they were given it. A single plate of pastries is brought to the table to share, refills were not offered. Each person chooses their meal, with very small portions. The kids each got 2 french toast sticks, bacon and a scoop of scrambled eggs. My husband and I got a scoop of scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon and a handful of breakfast potatoes. We had to track down the waiter for seconds, and he brought one more scoop of eggs to share. Tip is automatically included.
The princess make their rounds around the restaurant for pictures and autographs. The restaurant is so small that all photos are cramped at the table or banging elbows with neighboring table patrons. I didn't feel that the kids received as much attention as they have at other character meals.
Overall, I am glad we finally got to eat in the castle, but it will probably be the last and only time we do. I did not think it was at all worth the cost and the hassle for the reservation.

Pros:

atmosphere, dining in the Castle!

Cons:

very small, disappointing food

I still recommend this restaurant for the meet and greet with the princesses.

Party of 3 had ADR for 8am(first seating) in early December. It was nice to get to the Magic Kingdom early without too much of a crowd(early extra magic hours). Upon entry you meet Cinderella for a picture(package included in price). Then up the stairs you go to the dining room. We were seated right by the windows overlooking to carosel. Very pretty. Wait staff was quick and attentive.

After chosing your entree, pastries come to the table. They were fresh and tasty. Each person gets a "wishing star" and the kids get swords or magic wands...CUTE! The annoucements start coming introducing each princess about 10 minutes apart.

Then the food. Not hot and not good. Had the French toast with the eggs and bacon. BLAH, french toast was limp and cold. My daughter only wanted the french toast(vegetarian) and was told everything comes together. She ate a pastry.

The meet and greet was great, each princess spent time at the table and took pictures. It sure beats standing in a line or using a fast pass to meet them.

For 2 table service meals, I will not do this again. Norway breakfast in Epcot is sooooo much better.

Pros:

the dining room, pricesses, and staff

Cons:

food

Below average banquet style food, but in normal times, it's a great place to check off a bunch of princesses at one meal. I personally don't like awkward face character interactions, but it's worth visiting once for your kids. If you can get a window seat, you can have some park views, but we were seated alongside the back wall and it felt a little claustrophobic. Current times with just a wave from Cinderella is underwhelming. Keep your expectations low.

Pros:

princesses (in normal times) setting foot in the castle

Cons:

underwhelming food for the price rushed experience expensive

A fun lunch. We went here on a last-minute reservation (The day before). I thought it would be fun to take my son for his 22nd birthday. He loves interacting and talking to the characters. (I keep checking the app for an opening so don't give up).

Appetizers: Braised Beef and Shrimp Cocktail. My son liked the braised beef and the shrimp cocktail was average.

Main: Grilled Tenderloin and Gnocchi. Son liked the Tenderloin but I did not like the Gnocchi; it was way too salty.

Desert was the best part; The Clock Strikes Twelve and the Jaq & Gus. We both loved these.

Our Waiter was very attentive and all the princesses were perfect. We saw Ariel, Jasmin, Aurora, Snow White and Cinderella.

We both got a Wand and a sword :).

I'd like to try it at breakfast next time!

Pros:

Atmosphere, Theming, Characters, Deserts

Cons:

Cost and difficulty getting a table

Dined here for my Birthday to experience eating in the castle. We had a window table with views of fantasyland. The pastries plate was a good start to the meal. We ordered the stuffed French toast and the traditional breakfast (eggs, potatoes, bacon). The stuffed French toast was good with raspberries on top. The traditional breakfast was just meh, potatoes were way too salty, bacon was good. They have you meet Cinderella before the meal now. The issue we had was she was not there and told us to meet her after the meal. When we came down from our meal she was not there again and told us to come back in 30 minutes. So not the best experience with that.
Our server was really great!

Pros:

You eat in the castle Good views of fantasy land Stuffed French toast is good

Cons:

Salty potatoes

This was a one and done for our family. Too long of a wait to get in... food was mediocre for the hefty price tag and your experience with the princesses was underwhelming.

Pros:

Kids enjoyed meet Cinderella and the picture with Cinderella

Cons:

Food was mediocre for the price tag

I enjoyed the family style breakfast, it was everything my family enjoys. Loved the princesses and how much they interacted with my daughters! In my opinion not worth 2 TS for breakfast, maybe dinner.

Pros:

eating in the castle

Cons:

2 TS
