Ruined our holiday! We arrived in Disney 17th oct 2022, woke up in morning and went for early breakfast in El Mercado. My daughter & partner ate sausages, which they said tasted reheated & rubbery! That evening both experienced stomach cramps & sickness, which continued for a few days. My daughter recovered quicker but Stuart was unwell all holiday! We reported to our TUI rep who said they would send help, 2 days later never did! Chased again & was told someone from hotel would contact us - they never did! In a foreign country you are at a loss with what to do and nervous to go to doctors due to costs & I was relying on TUis assistance! We travelled as a party of 8 & the 2 who were stuck with the food poisoning it ruined our holiday! I reported to the restaurant, sent all evidence but the receipt I had had date for day before - I advised them to check with hotel , as the date stamp on that receipt we were still on our plane and hadn’t even checked in to hotel, but the restaurant basically accused me of lying! They failed to do their due diligence and their incompetence ruined our holiday. It makes me so sad to think of it! I wasn’t looking for anything but I wanted an acknowledgment at least and an apology , not for the issue to be made worse! As a Disney fanatic , who visits Florida every 2 years, this was definitely not the experience I expected from them , nor the treatment! A very poor way to treat anyone & I must say the whole fiasco of even trying to speak with them & raise the issue took months! A totally disgusting experience all round & will never go back!

Don't get the flatbread. The crust is too hard to bite or chew. Covered with tomato paste and a scant amount of something green sprinkled on it with eight half-inch circles of cheese. Terrible meal for sixteen dollars.

Speedy service.Cons:

Wow. I’m so disappointed in my dinner last night that I need to write a review to maybe prevent/help others from eating here. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Figured you can’t go wrong. Oh was I wrong. The meat was so tough and over cooked. It says it comes with onions and peppers which I love! Man was I disappointed when it came out with a mini cup of Luke warm onions and peppers for me to add. The cheese was like rubber. Not all melty and gooey as it should be! The fries were ok, but again luke warm. My kids got the chicken tenders and fries which were ok. Husband said his burger was over cooked too. Oh. And my sandwich was $16 which rubbed that salt in my wounds even more!! I definitely won’t go back there!!!
Pros:
Quick serviceCons:
Terrible, overpriced food. Wouldn’t recommend it to my enemy.Reviewed by lauren94 Review Date: 06/13/2021

Pretty standard Disney cafeteria food, not my favorite. The food was alright, good if you are just dying to eat and it's the only place open but I would pick other places over this one.
Pros:
Lots of seating, indoor, can get free cups of waterCons:

The good thing here s the fried chicken. People worked behind the food areas seem much nicer than the cashiers and willing to help. They don't have any cup of fruit like other food court for desserts.
Pros:
Food was decent.Cons:
Cashier was unfriendly and very slow. Lack of desserts (no fruit option)Reviewed by Heidtd Review Date: 12/31/2014

We ate breakfast twice at the Pepper Market during a recent stay from 12/20 - 12/28. Both times we waited in line, once we got to the front of the line the person working went to another station. We waited so long for someone to return, that we finally went to another line to get our second choice. During the second visit, we were running late for the Magic Express bus since the hotel completely messed up our check out paperwork. I finally went behind the line to grab a breakfast sandwich, no one said anything. As soon as I left, a worker came over to help out the next guest. Food was very average. I wouldn't go there specifically, and was glad I wasn't paying for it since we had a free dining offer.
Pros:
Large SelectionCons:
Few people working, poor food qualityReviewed by gullgeorge Review Date: 05/02/2013

This use to be a great place for a light meal but the food has been downgraded. I second the previous review on the Nachos but feel they were too kind. They are now served in a plastic container, paper on the bottom and about 50% smaller serving (same price), it was a real disappointment. They also used to have some nice pastries and this visit they had only one and the server did not know what the filling was.
Pros:
Close parkingCons:

We were so disappointed in our recent (2/3/13) dinner visit to Pepper Market. My old favorite, Market Nachos, was one of the worst nacho plates ever--I could have gone to a convenience store and had better. It was mostly nacho chips (one color), lots of jalapeno peppers, diced tomatoes and a very dry, crumbly meat mixture. The small amount of cheese was liquid, tasteless, and seemed squirted on with a bottle. I received no guacamole. This dish used to be one of my favorite treats--with so much moist meat mixture, cheese and guacamole that I always ran out of chips before I was done. Such a letdown.
My husband's panini special (beef with peppers/onions) was acceptable, though not remarkable, and it took much longer to prepare than he was told.
What used to be a favorite treat for us will be a "not again."

We thought the main food court had lots of options to choose from, and was open for a decent amount of time. Once when grabbing a very late dinner there was a very kind cast member taking everyone's order so their food was prepared fresh and was still hot. We appreciated that the food court kept making food right up to closing and that none of the cast members were bothered by everyone coming in to grab something to eat last minute. There are also lots of nice grab and go options during the day which is helpful if you want something for later on.
Pros:
Lots of variety, grab and go options, good operating hoursCons:
