*Cries in Disney Adult* These 2 Things Are STILL Missing from Magic Kingdom, and We Are NOT Okay

Most people don’t realize it, but not EVERYTHING has returned to Disney World quite yet.

Main Street Trolley Show

While we’ve celebrated the most recent return of a popular Disney World character meal with divisive changes, we can’t help but notice that there are still a few experiences in Magic Kingdom that used to be around that haven’t been announced to return just yet.

Recovering experiences in Disney World since the pandemic closures has been a long and tiresome process. While in lots of ways we made progress rather quickly, there are others that have taken years to return (like was the case for 1900 Park Fare most recently). But, have you realized that there are still a few experiences that haven’t returned to Disney World that were going on before the parks shut down completely?

Magic Kingdom used to be home to two unique experiences in the park that really pulled on our heartstrings. Let’s take a look at what we’re still hoping makes a return to the park.

Trolley Show

If you’re familiar with this show, then you’re a Disney World OG in our books! The trolley show was a song and dance group that would welcome you to the park along Main Street U.S.A. (and we have to admit their tunes were rather catchy)!

They were a great “good morning” into the park, however, since Disney World’s reopening they have been absent from any returning entertainment lineups. Currently, the only morning show you’ll find in Magic Kingdom is the “Let The Magic Begin Welcome Show,” which features Mickey, Minnie, and a few of their friends waving hello as the park opens its lands up to everyone visiting for the day. If you’re willing to stick around for a bit, you’ll also hear the Dapper Dans singing from a horse-drawn trolley that winds down Main Street, U.S.A. to Cinderella Castle and loops back.

That wasn’t the only live entertainment you’d find on Main Street U.S.A. though! The Citizens of Main Street U.S.A. were another level of live entertainment that you just couldn’t find anywhere else!

They were dressed in Victorian-era clothing, helping them fit right in. They were great conversationalists with their visitors strolling through their humble town’s main byway.

We’ve not heard any rumblings of when these two experiences may return (if ever), and it makes us so sad. However, if Disney World were to make any announcement about when we could see these experiences return to the park, we know we’d be one of the first to line up to welcome them “home”.

  1. Too many of the best street-mo-sphere performers were treated poorly and let go in the last 15 years. They were truly talented, improvisational performers that turned the Disney streets into living places and neighborhoods.

  2. So much of the live entertainment is still missing in all the parks. Idk if it’s a cost saver or what but the quality of those performers are a reason wdw was so unique. Also many tours and experiences you may for are not back either. I wonder what the hold up is
