Celebrate 15 Years of PhotoPass with these Special Photo Ops at Epcot

Disney PhotoPass is turning 15! To celebrate, Disney is introducing some limited edition photo ops!

Since PhotoPass got its start at Epcot, it only makes sense that the first set of these special shots will be available exclusively in Future World!

The first shot (above) features a halo of light behind Spaceship Earth, along with a simulated starry sky. It’s almost like Spaceship Earth is surrounded by its own little universe (of energy!). You can find this opportunity near the main entrance of Epcot.

The second new opportunity, also located near Spaceship Earth, features a flowing backdrop of light. We aren’t entirely sure what they were going for here, but it’s pretty!

Both new PhotoPass opportunities are only available after sunset and will be going away January 6th. New limited edition photo ops will be made available throughout the year on a seasonal basis, so stay tuned for more information! And remember: getting your photo taken is free, but you must have Memory Maker (either purchased separately or as part of an Annual Pass) to download them.

As an added deal, Disney is offering 15% off plus free shipping on select orders through EZ Prints, so if you take that perfect shot, you can get it immortalized in an actual print!

  1. Does Spaceship Earth really need some cheesy photoshopped effects to look awesome ?

I’ve never got the whole idea of paying for a bunch of cheesy photoshopped pics. And even if you do like that kind of thing, anyone can do that with a regular picture they take and a free photo editing app.
