Disney’s Indiana Jones Ride Announces Temporary CLOSURE

Let’s face it — there are some Disney rides that need a little more TLC than others.

That’s why Disney is constantly adding rides to its refurbishment calendar. Space Mountain was one of the latest temporary closures announced for Disneyland, but now another popular ride is getting a refurb!

According to the Disneyland calendar online, Indiana Jones Adventure will close for refurbishment on November 27th, 2023.

The calendar only goes through November 30th, 2023 at the time of writing so it’s unclear exactly how long this refurb will last.

The ride closed for a lengthy refurbishment earlier this year — from January 9th to March 17th to be exact — but rides with consistent downtimes tend to get more refurbishments than usual.

If you are heading to Disneyland during this ride’s closure, there are plenty of other exciting things to experience! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was recently added to Genie+ and the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure officially kicks off on November 10th.

  1. Indiana Jones is one of my favorite rides and is a must ride for us. It will probably be closed when we go on December 8th to December 10th which is very disappointing but I can’t reschedule our trip since I own a daycare and we all took off of work already. When I checked my Disneyland app and it said closed for refurbishment I almost cried. I had my heart set on that ride. I can’t let it ruin my trip. We will still have fun but like I said before it’s very disappointing 😔

  2. Indy is definitely a must-ride for me, which is why me and my family agreed to reschedule our trip there this year to 2 more weeks into December for the Holidays. It’ll be more crowded than November, but it’ll be worth it, since we haven’t seen the new effects in the ride after its 3 month refurbishment at the beginning of this year. I always hate it when Indy goes down. 😒
Luckily we were able to make rescheduled park reservations with our ticket purchases and reschedule our hotel stay dates. We did this as soon as the refurbishment schedule was released online. It’s a trip worth waiting for. 😁🎄
