5 CHANGES Happening in March in Disney World

Happily Ever After Time CHANGE

Pay attention; this is important! Starting March 10th, 2024, Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks show will move to an 8:30PM start time.

The show currently starts at 8PM each night, so keep this in mind if you’re planning to watch the fireworks. The area in front of the castle gets SUPER crowded before the show, so make sure to grab a spot nice and early. Otherwise, you may end up with an obstructed view.

Kali River Rapids Reopens

Kali River Rapids has been closed for an extended refurbishment in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The ride has been closed for some routine maintenance, but we expect the closure to end SOON! In fact, the Disney World website shows Kali River Rapids operating hours starting March 16th, 2024. On this date (and subsequent dates), you can see hours listed from 9AM to 6PM.

That means that soon, you’ll be back on the rapids — bring a poncho if you don’t want to get WET!

Water Park CHANGES

Pack your swimsuits! Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be reopening on March 17th, 2024! This tropical-themed water park has been closed since November 2023 for seasonal refurbishments. While the water park was closed, guests could visit Blizzard Beach Water Park. But speaking of Blizzard Beach…

Disney confirmed that its Blizzard Beach Water Park will close on March 17th, 2024. That means your last day to visit the park is March 16th! These two water parks take turns closing so that you can still enjoy some water park FUN during seasonal maintenance.

Reservations Open SOON for Disney’s NEW Cabins at Fort Wilderness

Are you ready? Brand NEW, renovated cabins are coming soon to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney has shared lots of modern concept art, and we can’t wait to see the designs come to life.

Disney World Annual Passholders can start booking rental reservations for these new cabins on March 20th by calling (407) 934-7639. ALL Disney World visitors can make reservations online on March 21st, 2024. You can also call (407) 934-7639 to book a cabin. The new cabins are set to open on July 1st, 2024.
