Disney World is definitely magical, but it’s not perfect.
It’s true that even in the Most Magical Place on Earth, there can be some smells that make us cringe on the inside, and that’s what we’re here to talk about.
Here are a few cringey smells we’ve all probably experienced on a trip to Disney World:
Mildewed Cooling Towels
Let’s face it, Florida heat is brutal. Those cooling towels are a lifesaver, but cramming a wet one back into your bag is a recipe for a mildewy mess (and a not-so-pleasant smell).
Here’s a pro tip: Pack a resealable bag for your damp towel, or simply wring it out well and let it air dry before stashing it away.

The Enigma of Club Cool
Club Cool in EPCOT is a one-of-a-kind sensory “adventure,” offering an interesting array of international sodas. But sometimes the air itself seems to have a, shall we say, “unique” aroma.
Maybe it’s the cleaning products, the air conditioners themselves, or that Disney patented a new scent called “intrigue.” On your next trip, you can either embrace this mystery or try to hold your breath for a bit.

The Water by the Festival of the Lion King
As you make your way to enjoy the spectacular Festival of the Lion King show, you might catch a whiff of something less than magical emanating from the water nearby.
I guess it means that even the Circle of Life has its less-than-glamorous moments, or maybe they’re taking the “watering hole” effect, just a bit too far.
Figment’s Not-So-Pleasant Surprise
Let’s be real, we all love Figment, but his skunk spray simulation on Journey Into Imagination with Figment can be a little…intense.
If you’re particularly sensitive to smells, you’ll either want to hold your breath for a second, or simply laugh it off. It’s all part of the Figment “fun.”

Party Fog
Disney puts on incredible shows and parties at Disney World, often featuring pretty dramatic fog effects. While they add to the atmosphere, they can leave a lingering scent.
If you’re sensitive to the fog, you may want to stand a bit further back during shows.
Tomorrowland Speedway Fumes
As you zip around the Tomorrowland Speedway, you might catch a whiff of gasoline fumes mingling with the scent of burning rubber, but hopefully not for too much longer.
Disney recently announced plans to electrify this attraction’s Disneyland sibling, which hopefully means we’ll also see the linger gas scent be a thing of the past at Disney World, too.

the gas cars reek like its 1980 NYC. Honestly, they are so boring, just pull it out , use half the footprint and make a Sugar Rush Wreck it Ralph electric go kart track, and put another new ride in, something Wall E related maybe to match the future theme?
The monorails smell like urine even the cabs with the new interior.
