UPDATE on Disney's NEW 'Coco' Restaurant Opening Soon!

There are quite a few Disney restaurants we’re looking forward to.

In Disney World, we’re awaiting the arrival of The Cake Bake Shop, as well as a future Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, and multiple new spots are coming to Disneyland Resort soon. But outside the parks, we’ve also got newly-announced restaurants for Disney Cruise Line…and it looks like Disney is prepping for them already!

One of the new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line fleet is the Disney Treasure, which is taking its maiden voyage at the end of the year. One new offering on the ship will be a Coco-themed restaurant.

We’ve been waiting for more updates on the restaurant, and now we’ve got one! Disney is officially CASTING for Plaza de Coco — a post went up online with a casting call for Luisa, Miguel’s mother from the film.

It has been confirmed in the past that this will be a character dining experience, very similar to Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish. We can’t wait to check it out when the Treasure sets sail!
