The BEST Strategy To Avoid the LONGEST Lines in Magic Kingdom

It’s no secret that almost everyone’s favorite park in Disney World is Magic Kingdom.

After all, you’ve got the iconic Cinderella Castle, an amazing parade, some of the best nighttime fireworks, and SO many rides. But even with a lot of rides, you might notice that wait times for some of those rides can get long. If you’re planning on riding as many Magic Kingdom rides as possible, though, we’ve got a strategy to help with that.​

When we look at wait times for Magic Kingdom, what we often see is that standby ride wait times are often the lowest just after park open and just before park close. So a good strategy could be arriving in Magic Kingdom for rope drop (or taking advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, if you qualify), taking a midday break (trust us, you’ll need it), and then coming back to the park and staying until park close. You might also want to probably skip the fireworks because that is PRIME riding time.

For example, yesterday, on April 19th, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which has notoriously long wait times, was just 40 minutes at park open and 40 minutes at park close.

You can make that strategy work even better for you by also purchasing Genie+ and using that along with rope dropping and staying until park close to ride as many Magic Kingdom rides as possible.
