Disney World CHANGES!
This news made a LOT of Disney fans happy, and we can’t wait for the change to take effect: guests with date-based Disney World park tickets will no longer need to make park pass reservations beginning on January 9th, 2024!
As a reminder, Disney World’s park pass reservation system was designed so that guests had to reserve a specific park for each day of their Disney World trip. In some cases, the Disney parks would “sell out,” and guests could not enter the park if all the reservations were full. Now, most guests will not need to make a reservation before entering a park!
That said, there are some caveats. If your park tickets are not tied to a date, you will still need to make a park pass reservation. This includes Annual Passholders and Cast Members and a few other types of tickets.

Disney also announced that they plan to simplify the Disney Genie+ experience in 2024. Disney explained, “We have heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know we are working on ways guests may do this for visits in 2024.”
We can’t wait to see if our Genie+ experience improves in the new year.
