It’s almost time for some more changes in Magic Kingdom!
As you know, Country Bear Jamboree is closing on January 27th to make way for the new incarnation of the show that’s coming later this year. So, let’s put on our sleuthing hats and see if we can figure out some clues about what’s coming to the new show!
Back in September 2023, Disney revealed that they would be making some changes to the Country Bear Jamboree and that it would be closing on January 27th, 2024 to make those updates. There is no reopening date yet, but the show is expected to open later this summer.
With that out of the way, what do we know so far about the new show?
First up, the bears will have an all-new sound of Nashville. The show will be inspired by the Opry-style shows of Nashville.
Next, the show will include new, reinterpreted Disney songs in different genres of country music including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and more. Disney gave us a sneak peek at the new version of”The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book.
Next, in addition to the new music and sound, the bears will each be getting a new outfit. Here’s a first look at Henry’s new look.
It also looks like only one bear in particular will be getting a major revamp.
Liver LipsLiver Lips McGrowl will be getting a new look and a new name — Romeo McGrowl.
Those are all the clues we could find at the moment. Can you spot any more? In the meantime, keep following AllEars for more updates on the Country Bear Jamboree refurbishment!
This gives me hope that the new version will not be terrible.
Although I like the take on the classic Jungle Book song, I’m not happy about revamping another attraction in Frontierland to something un-bear-able.
