UPDATE: EPCOT Takes Another Step Toward the End of Its Huge Transformation!

It’s hard to believe the multi-year EPCOT transformation is almost over.

We are SO ready to say goodbye to construction walls in EPCOT when CommuniCore Hall & Plaza officially opens on June 10th. Now, we’ve already learned about a new Encanto show coming to CommuniCore Plaza, but CommuniCore Hall is bringing a new meet and greet to EPCOT. So imagine our excitement when we saw a sign that this new meet and greet is opening soon.

When we say we saw a sign, we mean literally. Although CommuniCore Hall will act as a festival space for EPCOT, it will also host a new Mickey meet-and-greet called “Mickey and Friends.” Well, the new sign for that meet and greet is now up on the building.

The meet-and-greet location will also include a “beautiful mural of all things EPCOT past and present.”

In addition to the meet and greet, we also recently learned that CommuniCore Hall will be open year-round and not just during EPCOT festivals. So if you need a spot in EPCOT to get out of the sun, cool off, and recharge, this could be the perfect spot to do it.

We expect this new meet-and-greet will open with the rest of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza on June 10th. We also don’t know how this might affect the character meet-and-greet currently at the Pixar Short Film Festival, but we’ll keep an eye out for any changes.
