HUGE Pin Trading CHANGE Announced for Disney World

It has been a special few days at Disney World!

Over time, we’ve seen the return of pin trading at Disney World — and it has taken on SO many forms. Since the activity was taken away during the pandemic, guests have been wondering when pin trading will return to the way it was before it was taken away. However, the wait is now OVER.

Pin trading is officially BACK at Disney World. For a long time, we’ve been able to pin trade with Cast Members through pin boards located throughout the park — but now, it has gotten BETTER.

We are no longer limited to pinboards — Cast Members are officially allowed to trade with guests using their own lanyards again… and everything feels so right in the world.

This change was made on April 7th, and since then, we’ve seen a TON of Cast Members with their lanyards in the park, ready to trade with anyone who asks. Remember, don’t be afraid to ask to pin trade with them! We know it can be scary, but they have just as much fun with it as you do.

In addition to pin trading coming back in full force, Disney has also released some NEW pin sets that Cast Members can use to trade. Each of these collections has 5 pins, and a bonus 6th pin — known as the “chaser”.

If you’re not in Disney World to trade right now to try to find these sets, Hakuna Matata! These sets will eventually be sold at the parks later this year. If you do purchase the pins instead of trading for them, you’ll also be lucky enough to get a “super chaser” pin — the secret, more elusive seventh pin to the series!
