The 7 Nights You Should AVOID at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

We’re halfway to Halloween, which means we’re starting to get more details about Halloween at Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

We’re excited to have all the dates for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, as well as a range of ticket prices (and yes, they’ve gone UP this year). We even know what rides and restaurants will be available during the party. We also wanted to give you an idea of when you should NOT go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party, so let’s take a look.

Based on what we know from previous years’ parties, as well as what we’ve learned about this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we put together a list of the dates you should avoid buying tickets.

August 9th

August 9th is the first day of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and from our past experience, we have a pretty good feeling that it will be crowded, as many people like to attend the first night of the party.

However, there’s another reason not to go to the party in August — the Florida heat and humidity are still pretty brutal, so if you wait until later party dates, you might be able to wear a costume without being hot and miserable.

Most Expensive Dates

We already know the high ticket price this year is going to be $199 per person (The lowest price of the season is $119 per person). This means you might want to avoid paying almost $200 for a ticket, especially if you’re looking to save some money. Now, Disney hasn’t released the full list of ticket prices by date yet, but we have done some research into party ticket prices from recent years’ events.

Quincy with the Seven Dwarfs

Generally, Fridays in October and the party before Halloween are going to be more expensive. So we’ll say you might want to want to avoid October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and 29th if you don’t want to pay the highest price for party tickets.

October 31st

Another night you’ll want to avoid is October 31st. Sure, it is a lot of fun to go to a Halloween Party ON actual Halloween, but everyone else is pretty much thinking this, too, so you’ll end up with an event that is probably crowded (and this night often sells out, so we’re talking MAXIMUM crowds).

Instead, opt for an earlier party and spend Halloween night doing something else instead.

So go ahead and look at your calendar and try to avoid these dates if you can. You’ll save yourself a big headache, as well as avoid crowds and higher ticket prices.
