The ONE Rule Everyone Breaks at Disney World Hotels

Disney World is a light-hearted, magical place to visit.

Happily Ever After

It’s a great place to be more than just a kid at heart but to find the joy of living your best day ever. But there are still rules and guidelines in place to keep us having a safe and enjoyable time. Yet, there is one rule that we see being broken time and time again, and we’re culprits of it, too.

Disney has rules all around the property — adults can’t wear costumes except for specific events, masks aren’t allowed unless for health purposes. And there are the very obvious ones  — like no weapons.

Costumes are allowed for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

And over at the hotels, you’re not supposed to hang clothing or anything else on the railing of your balcony. But there’s one rule at the hotels that we all end up breaking at some point.

And that rule is– quiet hours. Quiet hours at the Disney hotels start at 11PM and go until 7AM the next morning.

But this rule gets broken a lot. And it makes sense why. Disney will have late park hours from time to time and once you’ve taken transportation back to your room, it can be well past 11PM. This lends itself to people talking loudly as they wander back to their rooms after an exciting day in the parks.

Yep, we all do it. It’s hard not to be loud after a day of screaming and laughing! But just a reminder (for us, too) that people may be sleeping by the time you return from the parks, so just remember to be courteous.

  1. Hard not to be loud? Everyone breaks this rule? Well a lot of us are courteous and quiet when walking through any hotel late at night, be it Disney or any other. Some of us were taught to show some concern for others, sad if you haven’t learned that.
