There’s a MYSTERIOUS New Clue About the Future of Disney’s Star Wars Hotel 👀

The Star Wars Hotel is officially closed. Though, to be fair, it was never really a “hotel,” but instead a multi-day experience aboard a Star Wars-themed Starcruiser. No matter what you called it, most agreed that the price tag was a major barrier to entry.

Since its closure, many Disney fans have speculated how Imagineers could repurpose the building. Could Disney create a brand-new attraction? Re-theme it as a new hotel? Make the world’s largest indoor laser-tag arena? Disney hasn’t revealed any information yet, but fans have been dutifully looking for clues.

Speaking of internet sleuths and secret clues, TheWrap recently obtained a special Starcruiser-based survey, and the questions are leading to a lot of new speculation.

Star Wars Hotel

Guests who were able to visit the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser during its short run were reportedly sent a special invitation for a survey about their experience. The survey, which TheWrap described as “unusually specific,” is leading fans to wonder if Disney has new plans for the Star Wars Hotel.

Galactic Starcruiser Room

The survey purportedly started with a round of pre-screening questions designed to eliminate “those in certain professions (like bloggers or journalists) and, oddly, those who had completed graduate school,”  according to TheWrap. From there, guests were “paid a fee between $150 and $250, asked to sign an NDA and given a private link to a live questionnaire.”

One source notes that the survey had four sections: “Pre-Arrival,” “On Board,” “In Your Room,” and “Overall,” followed by an additional questionnaire for “Moments That Shaped My Halcyon Starcruiser Experience.”

Crew Members

TheWrap shared a few of the questions from the survey, like “How long did it take you to prepare your character?“, “What events impacted your personal story?” and “Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Bridge Training

Could these questions prove that Disney has plans for a Starcruiser comeback, or will this data be used another way? Disney has not shared any information about what it plans to do with the Star Wars Hotel, so for now, everything is up in the air (or should we say space). In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

  1. The crazy thing is that the concept was good, but the cost scared away all but the most well-heeled or Star Wars-fanatic park goers. If they could develop it into something that is still Star Wars-based and immersive at a far lower price point, I think it would have a lot more success.

  2. I hope that they will reopen as an immersive Star Wars experience in some form again. It was planned to be a special celebration experience for my family in 2024. When the closer was announced we tried to go early and we were unable to get a booking. Kept trying to call but unable to snap up any of the cancellations. A lot of sadness around my house.
